DEMAND FOR LOCAL WEBCASTING SERVICES DRIVES ALLIANCE

XL Films and RoadShow Media Announce Business Alliance Offering Local, Full-Service Webcasting Capabilities

Houston, Texas (November 4, 2002) - Two Houston-based firms, XL Films and RoadShow Media, have formed a business alliance offering full-service, locally based video broadcasting and webcasting services.

The alliance was driven by demand and a need from the Houston business community for a local provider of comprehensive webcast services. "Local companies were utilizing national service providers in Boston, New York and Los Angeles to reach their investor audiences, employees or some other special target audience," says Ken Kosub, President, XL Films "By combining traditional video production capabilities with the ‘behind the scenes’ or back-end capabilities of RoadShow Media, we’ve created a local solution for business communication needs."

XL Films, known for its film and corporate video work, goes on location producing webcasts with the powerful suite of tools available from RoadShow Media.

"RoadShow Media has proprietary software that gives a competitive edge when broadcasting long distances or internationally," explains Jeffrey Roeth, CEO, RoadShow Media. "The technology keeps the audio and video in perfect synchronization so the webcast quality is outstanding---no delays." Other back-end capabilities include the ability to create special log-in guest books for viewers, in-depth reports to capture viewer statistics and various interactive features such as audience polling or dynamic web links with presentation slides offered simultaneously with the webcast.

With Houston the energy capital of the world, webcasting services are sought after by leading international firms wanting to deliver a message quickly and in a quality manner over the desktop personal computer. XL Films has seen the popularity of webcasting expand beyond the corporate community to associations, not-for-profits and others who have a need to reach their special audiences with a message.

Recently, the XL Films/RoadShow Media alliance was tapped to help the Greater Houston Partnership facilitate legislative issues by webcasting to 600 people. And at the recent grand opening of the Houston Technology Center, XL Films/RoadShow was selected to communicate to 700 people who were able to watch the opening celebration on PCs set up throughout the Center’s facilities.

"Live multi-camera situations are always a challenge," notes Kosub. "However, audiences expect and demand high-quality video when viewing a webcast. The sophistication level is incredible. Long gone are the days of simple PowerPoint slides and audio. Now you practically have a full-blown production on the desktop."

RoadShow Media offers its clients a dynamic tool to communicate with clients, investors, employees and their community at large. For the past four years, they have offered webcasts that inform and motivate an audience with their powerful software from Concept to ClickTM.

XL Films was founded in 1995. It has become one of the most sought after production companies in the Southwest, working for a wide variety of organizations from Fortune 500 corporations to government agencies. XL Films has an award-winning creative team of professionals in all aspects of production.
